Couple embracing (Adam and Eve?); couple holding a bird; tree.
Foliated decoration.

Mallé 1969 and Museum's opinion 2010: Northern Italy, 2nd half of the 15th century (?).

Reverse
Carved in the round. Later inscription in red on the back of the male figure: '807' (original Museum number used until ca. 1950). On a small label, 18th-century inscription: 'Amor Coniugale'.

Comments
Known between ca. 1950 and 1987 as Inv. 33.

Acquired in 1878.
