Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: architectural details.
Reverse
Recessed to receive the wax, with a raised border. Thread held to the back of the tablet by two pieces of molten red wax, probably for hanging. Wooden wedge pasted on the back.
Object Condition
Missing: upper right corner broken.
Cracked. Two holes on the left edge, probably indicating that it was reused at a later stage as the right wing of a diptych.
Provenance
Maybe part of the bequest made by Félix and Josias Le Sérurier in 1883 (museum archives disappeared in 1917).
