Seated Virgin and Child; Virgin holding a stem of flowers in her left hand; Christ seated on the Virgin's right knee; Christ holding a flower; crown; necklace; bench.

Reverse
Carved in the round. Back of the bench decorated with colonnettes and narrow vertical recesses.

Object Condition
Missing: right forearm of the Child; part of the crown.

Comments
Some details (the pearl necklace, the lower part of the mantle) are unusual and suggest a modern reworking.

Provenance
Collection of Friedrich Georg Hermann Culemann (b. 1811, d. 1886), Hannover (no. 494); acquired by the city of Hannover in 1887.
