Register 1: Crucifixion with jet of blood striking the Virgin's chest; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; Sun and Moon.
Register 2: Nativity and Annunciation to the Shepherds; musician shepherd holding bagpipes.
Beaded border.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.
Reverse
Flat and smooth. Inscriptions: cancelled '63', 'Dalla Guardaroba Dei Pitti 20 Maggio 1774'.Blue and white labels with inscriptions: 'no. 193' (number corresponding to an undated inventory) and '246'[? half erased], '8 A' [?, half erased].Small label on the edge with inscription: '2254' (corresponds to its number in the 1825 inventory of the Galleria Reale).
Object Condition
Missing: part of the background in the lower register.
Provenance
Collection of Canon Apollonio Bassetti, secretary of Cosimo III: his bequest to the Galleria Reale housing the Medici collection in September 1699; in the Palazzo Pitti until 20 May 1774 (see inscription on the back); became part of the collection of the Museo Nazionale del Bargello on 11 May 1879.
