Wing, left
Register 1: Death of the Virgin (Dormition); Christ holding the soul of the Virgin; Christ making a blessing gesture with his right hand; apostles surrounding the Virgin; saint John the Evangelist holding a martyr's palm.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi.
Wing, right
Register 1: Coronation of the Virgin; angel crowning the Virgin; Christ making a blessing gesture with his right hand and holding the orb and cross; two angels holding navettes and swinging censers; two kneeling angels holding candlesticks.
Register 2: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; angels holding the Sun and the Moon.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Karlsruhe 1999: France (?), mid 14th century.

Three broken hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Ink inscription on the back of the right wing: 'A [?] 5.'
