Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist; onlooker with a staff.

Witte 1912: Saxony (?), 16th century.

Two missing ring (?) hinges.

Flat and smooth.

Provenance
Collection of Alexander Schnütgen (b. 1843, d. 1918), who had bought it from an art dealer in Magdeburg region (Schnütgen donated his collection to the city of Cologne in 1906 and the first Schnütgen Museum opened in 1910).
