Register 1: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; rugged cross; Longinus standing in prayer.
Register 2: Entry into Jerusalem; foal of the she-ass; apostles including saint Peter holding a key and saint John the Evangelist with a martyr's palm.
Border of dentils. Crosshatched background above the arches.

Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.
Reverse
Flat and smooth.
Object Condition
Missing: head of the foal of the she-ass.
Cavities for the original hinges have been repaired with carved replacements.

The right wing of this diptych is also in the Museo Nazionale del Bargello (Inv. 108 C).

Carrand collection: bequeathed by Louis Carrand (d. 1888) to the Museo del Bargello in 1888.
