Border of dentils; brickwork or tiled roof pattern in the gables.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the left side (?), though these holes may be later.
Reverse
Flat and smooth. Incised circles and flower patterns made with a compass.
Object Condition
Very worn. Two holes on the left side of the panel (possibly for hinges?).
Provenance
Collection of Alexander Schnütgen (b. 1843, d. 1918), who had bought it from an art dealer in Kleve (Schnütgen donated his collection to the city of Cologne in 1906 and the first Schnütgen Museum opened in 1910).
