Faint traces of polychromy and gilding.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Inscription: 'JMV. II.23' (Marquet de Vasselot collection).

Object Condition
Missing: upper register.
Hole in each corner and two central holes in the upper part of the panel (all later).

Comments
This fragment once formed the lower register of the left wing of a diptych which probably had two registers.

Collection of Victor Martin Le Roy, Neuilly-sur-Seine (before 1900; at least until 1924). Collection of Jean-Joseph Marquet de Vasselot and heirs: sale, Christie's, Paris, 16 November 2011, lot 22; private collection, London (in 2013; bought at the 2011 sale).
