Depth: 6 mm

Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist; sun and moon; rugged cross; books; haloes.
Incised trefoils.

Kryzhanovskaya 2014: Netherlands or Germany, 1st half of the 15th century.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: red

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Band of incised zig-zag pattern.

Object Condition
Damaged along the left side; chips and cracks to the top left corner.
Central hole in the upper part of the panel (visible from the back and exiting in the upper edge).

Provenance
Acquired from Müllen in Vienna in 1880 for the collection of the Stieglitz Museum of Applied Arts (no. 10123), Saint Petersburg; transferred to the Hermitage in 1924.
