Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: blue (dots at the center of lozenges on the back of the throne; straps of sheath), red wax (incised lines on th eback of the throne).

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missingg: small losses to terminals of three of the corner posts of the throne and to the crown.

Comments
This piece seems to be part of the same ensemble as Inv. 666 and 667 in Berlin (Volbach 1923), and a piece formerly in the von Hirsch collection (Sotheby's, London, 22 June 1978, lot 269). See Williamson and Davies 2014.
