Reverse
Flat and smooth except along the left, right and lower edges which have some crosshatching. Outline of a painted arch and tracery.
Object Condition
Missing: forearm of the Virgin; one of Christ's fingers; pinnacles (which were slotted into holes; crosshatching on the upper surface of the central projection).
Crosshatching and hole on the underside for attachment onto a base.
Provenance
Acquired in 1886 in Vienna by the Stieglitz Museum of Applied Arts (no. 6735), Saint Petersburg; transferred to the Hermitage in 1926.
