Traces of gilding and polychromy: haloes, lining of some garments.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Missing: part of the lock; candles held by the angels.
Angel's leg damaged (probably burnt).

Provenance
Chesnokov collection, Saint Petersburg; acquired by the Stieglitz Museum of Applied Arts in 1880; transferred to the Hermitage in 1926.
